Marty Gobin

Marty has years of experience in trials, appellate matters, and judicial reviews in civil and criminal litigation before the Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, Small Claims Court, and Ontario Court of Justice.

He also has experience with administrative tribunals including the Landlord and Tenant Board, Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, Ontario Land Tribunal, Ontario Labour Relations Board, Ontario Civilian Police Commission, municipal committees of adjustment, and the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal.

In addition, he writes about the law and teaches it at colleges and universities. His articles on legal subjects have appeared in Canadian Lawyer Magazine, Law360 Canada (formerly The Lawyer’s Daily), the Toronto Sun, and the Ottawa Citizen.

He has taught a constitutional law course at Ontario Tech University’s legal studies program as well as numerous courses at George Brown College’s Law Society-accredited paralegal licensing program.

He is a past Chair of the Property Standards Committee of the City of Oshawa, responsible for hearing appeals under the Building Code Act, 1992.
