Licensed Paralegal - Partner
Has been providing legal services as a paralegal since 2001, and received her paralegal licence in 2008 after Ontario implemented a regulatory scheme to govern paralegals. Initially, she represented clients in resolving motor vehicle insurance-related claims under the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule.
Ms. Leyenson worked for a law firm from 2007 to 2012, acting as a managing partner between 2008 and 2011, focusing on personal injury claims and civil litigation. Additionally, she managed and trained new support staff, and provided litigation support to senior lawyers.
From 2013 until the formation of Gobin & Leyenson LLP in 2017, Ms. Leyenson was the managing director of Pixie Paralegal Services Professional Corporation, which focused on civil litigation, including Repair and Storage Liens Act, breach of contract, and tort claims, as well as administrative law with a focus on issues before the Landlord and Tenant Board. She has also presented Continuing Professional Development seminars accredited by The Law Society of Ontario at Durham College.
Ms. Leyenson is fluent in English and Russian.
